THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has closed its case in the petition by All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Njikoka/Dunukofia/Anaocha federal constituency, Dozie Nwankwo, at the Anambra State Election Petitions Tribunal.
Nwankwo is challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaration of his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Dr. Okey Eze, as winner of the March 28, 2015 election. He is asking the court to nullify the verdict and order his declaration as the actual winner.
The presiding Justice Nayai Agadagba adjourned proceedings till tomorrow when Eze is expected to open his case. Meanwhile, all parties have chosen to cut down on the number of witnesses intended to give evidence.
