Complimentary Transportation at Disney World

Disney features plenty of complimentary transportation to move guests from park to park or from park to resort. Depending on your starting and ending destination, your trip may be a straight shot or may involve a few extra steps.

Here are a few different ways to travel between the parks for general knowledge to help you plan the rest of your trip and future trips.

By Bus

Disney World has nine bus routes to help shuttle guests around the parks! These buses are accessible at no extra cost for all guests. They start operating at the park’s opening and shut down about an hour after the park closes.

Multiple stops around the resorts and parks ensure every guest can get where they need to go, and buses run through frequently! If you just miss a bus, another one will be shortly behind it.

By Disney Skyliner

The Disney Skyliner first opened in 2019 and has been a favorite method of transport since! Passengers can see the parks from a unique sight up above and share intimate Skyride trips with those closest to them.

The Skyliner connects four Disney resorts: Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riveria, and then connects to two of the parks: Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Up to 10 guests can share the experience in a single cabin decorated with beloved Disney characters on the outside. Let Goofy or Woody accompany you up in the sky!

Disney Skyliner operates from park opening to park close.

By Monorail

The monorail is another favorite for park patrons! Magic Kingdom has two monorails: the express and resort monorail and the last one is at Epcot.

While these monorails won’t help with traveling from park to park, they are time savers for traveling in the park, especially to talk you back to the parking lot after a long day walking around.

By Watercraft

Watercraft is a transport usually saved around the waterparks! Travel around sights at Disney Springs or around water by Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Watercraft makes for a unique and fun way to get around.

Minnie Van Service

In 2017, Disney World released its very own version of mobility service. Sponsored through Lyft, the Minnie Van Service provides rides patrons of the park can order through the Lyft app.

Minnie Van Service can easily fit up to 6 park guests and features beautiful red paint with white polka dots, inspired by Minnie Mouse herself!

One downfall is that the services aren’t complimentary like other transportations in the park. They can be more reliable if you and your family prefer to avoid waiting for buses or monorails.

Minnie Van Service also allows you to make it a direct trip if the other transportations won’t allow you to make it to your destination with one ride.

By Car or Rental

Another option separate from Disney World park’s transportation is taking your mode of transportation. While you’ll have to purchase a parking pass for your vehicle, you’ll have a little more control over when you can leave for one park from another.

Though plenty of reliable options are available, some may prefer to rely on their transportation because it eliminates needing to wait for the next bus.

Timing

Timing is an important element of your trip- there’s nothing worse than arriving too early, or missing the last bus. Making sure to plan out which days and when you’ll switch parks will help things work without a hitch!
